Before the upgrade, the company faced four constraints that capped its growth: Single-product limit. Only hollow blocks were made in-house; standard bricks for broader project specs were outsourced, splitting supply and quality control. Capacity ceiling. The legacy semi-automatic line could not meet the larger orders tied to 2014 housing and infrastructure programs; work was declined for lack of volume. Rising labor cost. A 10-person crew per shift was increasingly expensive in a tightening skilled-labor market, eroding margin on fixed-price contracts. Supply-chain exposure. Reliance on imported finished bricks and, more broadly, on hard-to-source imported inputs raised lead-time and cost risk — a structural disadvantage under an import-substitution policy climate. The operator needed one automatic line that could raise volume across multiple brick types, cut crew size, and bring standard-brick production home — with a payback short enough to justify the capital under constrained financing conditions.
The Solution: Dongyue QT10-15 Fully Automatic Block Making Machine After a supplier review in early 2014, the producer selected the QT10-15 — a heavy-duty automatic molding machine for medium-to-large plants, capable of hollow blocks, standard bricks, porous bricks and pavers on one line by changing molds. Dongyue handled pre-shipment FAT, on-site installation and commissioning in May 2014, Farsi/English operator training, a spare-parts kit, and remote diagnostics support to keep the line running with minimal overseas dependency.
We brought standard-brick production home and more than doubled our hollow-block volume on one line. The crew is smaller, quality is steadier, and the math says we recover the investment well inside two years. For an Iranian market that values local, reliable supply, this was the right move."
