Before the upgrade, the company faced four constraints that capped its growth:
Inconsistent supply. Bricks and blocks were sourced partly from traditional fired-brick kilns and partly from small yards; quality, lead times and seasonal availability varied with each channel.
Low, manual output. Hand-mold and small-yard block-making capped daily output and tied up a large crew; the firm was turning away orders during peak building season.
Quality variance. Without controlled compaction and pressure, dimensional and strength tolerances drifted — a problem for housing and infrastructure specs.
Downtime risk. Over-complex equipment would have meant skills and spare-part gaps the local team could not absorb quickly.
The operator needed a semi-automatic line that was simple to run, low on downtime, strong on concrete-brick output, and backed by responsive regional support — without the capital and technical overhead of a fully automatic plant.
After a supplier review in 2019, the producer selected the QT4-15 — Dongyue's semi-automatic block machine built on table vibration combined with hydraulic top-pressure, with 360° rotary feeding and simple manual-valve control. The QT4-15 produces concrete bricks, hollow blocks and porous bricks on one machine by changing molds. Dongyue handled pre-shipment FAT, on-site installation and commissioning in May 2019, operator training, and a spare-parts kit to keep the line running with minimal overseas dependency.
