Country: Brazil
Project name: QT10-15 production line in Brazil
Block type: standard brick\Hollow block \ interlock block etc
Introduction: A Brazilian building-materials producer has put a Dongyue QT10-15 block making line into operation, bringing higher-volume hollow-block and colored paving-brick production in-house to serve the country's housing, infrastructure and public-space demand.

Challenge

According to the operator, the line entered production in 2025 and is now supplying hollow blocks and colored paving bricks from a single plant — replacing inconsistent imported and small-yard supply with a controlled, higher-output automated line as Brazil's construction and affordable-housing pipeline kept concrete-masonry demand climbing.

1. The Client & Market Background

The operator, [Replace with the client's actual company name before publishing], is a Brazil-based building-materials producer serving contractors, property developers and municipal works across Latin America's largest construction market. With a vast, urbanizing population, a persistent affordable-housing deficit, and continuous infrastructure and public-space build-out, Brazil sustains steady, year-round demand for concrete hollow blocks, standard bricks and paving products.

For a producer in this environment, the commercial logic was clear: make more blocks, more consistently, and add higher-margin finished products locally. Brazil's social-housing programmes (such as Minha Casa Minha Vida) and broad perimeter-wall culture keep hollow-block consumption high, while cities and developers increasingly specify colored paving bricks for sidewalks, squares and residential yards. Producers able to localize both structural and decorative output — and serve the wider MERCOSUR region — hold a clear edge on lead time, cost and margin.

2. The Challenge

Before the upgrade, the company faced four constraints that capped its growth:

  • Mixed and variable supply. Hollow blocks and bricks were sourced partly from small local yards and partly from imports; quality, color consistency and lead times varied with each channel.

  • No in-house paving capability. Without a face-mix line, the firm resold imported colored pavers at thin margin instead of producing its own on-spec product.

  • Volume ceiling. Manual and semi-mechanized yards capped daily output; the firm was turning away orders during peak building season.

  • Labor intensity and quality variance. Manual block-making tied up a large crew and exposed output to operator skill, fatigue and inconsistent curing.

The operator needed a high-output automatic line that could make multiple brick types on one machine — including face-mix colored pavers — run on a lean crew, and scale output to capture rising domestic and cross-border (MERCOSUR) demand.

Solution

3. The Solution: Dongyue QT10-15 Block Making Machine

After a supplier review in 2025, the producer selected the QT10-15 — Dongyue's high-output automatic block machine built on table-mold synchronous vibration with PLC and HMI control, and equipped with a face-mix (color layer) device for colored paving bricks. The QT10-15 produces hollow blocks, porous bricks, standard bricks and colored paving stones on one line by changing molds. Dongyue handled pre-shipment FAT, on-site installation and commissioning in 2025, operator training (with Portuguese-language documentation), and a spare-parts kit to keep the line running with minimal overseas dependency.

Client Feedback

"Before the QT10-15, we were buying from many small yards and importers — and we had to resell colored pavers we could never make ourselves. Now we produce our own hollow blocks and paving bricks right here in Brazil, at a steady high volume, with colors and dimensions our clients actually trust. The line paid for itself faster than we budgeted, and we finally say yes to the wall and paving contracts we used to turn away."
