Country: Costa Rica
Project name: Costa Rican Producer Commissions Dongyue QT10-15 Block Line
Block type: standard brick\Hollow block \ interlock block etc
Introduction: A San José-based building-materials producer has put one Dongyue QT10-15 fully automatic block making line into operation, adding colored paver bricks and standard bricks to its hollow-block output at significantly higher volume.

Challenge

Before the upgrade, the company faced four constraints that capped its growth: Imported paver dependence. Colored pavers for tourism and municipal jobs were bought overseas, adding freight, duties, and lead-time risk — and undercutting the operator's own low-carbon positioning. Capacity ceiling. The legacy semi-automatic line could not meet the larger orders tied to 2025 tourism and commercial-park projects; work was declined for lack of volume. Rising labor cost. A 12-person crew per shift was increasingly expensive in Costa Rica's tight skilled-labor market, eroding margin on fixed-price contracts. Single-product limit. Only hollow blocks were made in-house; standard bricks and pavers were outsourced, splitting supply and quality control. The operator needed one automated line that could raise volume across multiple brick types, cut crew size, and bring paver production home — with a payback short enough to justify the capital.

Solution

The Solution: Dongyue QT10-15 Fully Automatic Block Making Machine After a supplier review in early 2025, the producer selected the QT10-15 — a heavy-duty automatic molding machine for medium-to-large plants, fitted with a face-mix device for colored paver bricks and capable of hollow blocks, standard bricks and pavers on one line by changing molds. Dongyue handled pre-shipment FAT, on-site installation and commissioning in June 2025, Spanish-language operator training, and a spare-parts kit.

Client Feedback

"We brought paver production home and more than doubled our hollow-block volume on one line. The crew is smaller, quality is steadier, and the math says we recover the investment well inside two years. For a Costa Rican market that values local, lower-carbon product, this was the right move."
