On April 28-29, a three-member delegation from a Russian construction materials company visited Dongyue Machinery Group's manufacturing base in Linyi to finalize details of a QT18-15 fully automatic block production line project.
The visit kicked off with a factory tour. The Russian team walked through Dongyue's CNC machining center, welding workshops, and heat treatment facility. They stopped for nearly twenty minutes at the assembly line where a QT18-15 unit was being built, asking detailed questions about the synchronization vibration system and the dual-proportional valve configuration on the hydraulic circuit.

Russia's climate shaped much of the technical discussion. Winter temperatures at the client's plant near Yekaterinburg can hit -35°C. Standard hydraulic oil turns to sludge at those temperatures, and electrical components freeze up. Dongyue's engineering team laid out three specific adaptations: low-temperature hydraulic oil (ISO VG32 instead of the standard VG46), thermostatic heating elements inside the electrical cabinet, and insulated piping on the hydraulic station's water-cooling circuit.
The client's technical director, who has operated a smaller block machine from another Chinese supplier for six years, pushed hard on after-sales support. Dongyue proposed a two-year spare parts package — chains, rubber pads, proximity switches, AC contactors, V-belts, and two complete mold sets — stocked at the client's facility before the machine ships. The company also offered remote PLC diagnostics via the Mitsubishi controller's communication module, so engineers in Linyi can troubleshoot fault codes without waiting for a visa.
The QT18-15 line under negotiation is sized for the client's planned output of 2,000-3,000 square meters of paver blocks per day. The full configuration discussed includes:
● PLD2400 three-bin batching machine with electronic weighing
● JS1000 twin-shaft mixer (4-minute cycle, forced mixing)
● 10-meter belt conveyor with scrapers
● Face material mixing system for colored paver production
● QT18-15 main machine with Siemens vibration motors and Mitsubishi PLC
● Automatic pallet feeder with chain-driven transfer
● Low-level stacker for forklift pickup
● Two mold sets: 400×200×200mm hollow block and 200×100×60mm paver
Raw material-wise, the client plans to use fly ash from a nearby coal-fired power plant, combined with crushed stone and cement. Fly ash content of 30-40% is feasible on the QT18-15, which helps cut cement costs. Dongyue's engineers confirmed the batching ratios during the visit and will provide a finalized mix design report within ten working days.
